This handsome Limoges oval covered vegetable dish is beautiful white porcelain trimmed in gold. The handles of the dish and the top handle are designed as twigs. The cover has ivy leaves trimmed in gold and so does the bottom. The bottom has marks in red: Limoges, French china, and Tress...........& Vogt. I cannot read all of the first word. It is probably the name of a store that carried Limoges. The dimensions are: 10-1/2" long, 5-1/2" wide and approximately 6-1/2" high. Limoges was, in earlier years, the most popular dinner ware in the United States and there were many patterns. It was elegant then and elegant now. This pattern would complement any other Limoges or Haviland china.
The condition is good. There is one small chip on the cover only.
