This cherubic faced little boy is dressed in a Dutch attire with pantaloons and wooden shoes, and is a planter. He is 7" high, 3" wide and 3" deep. The silver sticker on the back identifies this as a De Lee Art of California, one of many California potteries that turned out popular items in the middle of the 20th century. De Lee Art has been given more than one possibility of founders; Jimmy Lee Stewart or Delores and Lee Mitchell. Whichever it was, the figurines, planters and household items created were quite popular. This piece has normal crazing and is in good condition. I have other mid-century planters listed here and will combine orders for discount and shipping savings.
