This sturdy mixing bowl is 4" high, 8 1/4" across, a dark caramel color and a beehive look on the outside, sometimes referred to as "ruffled." The base is 4" across, the bottom states : "18 Bauer USA". Andy Bauer began his own pottery business in Paducah, Kentucky in 1885, but moved it to Southern California in 1910. Over the years the business expanded, adding lines of products, but became most well-known after Andy passed away. There is a history of Bauer website that will enrich your ownership of their classic pieces, such as this bowl.
