If you were an upper class lady in the early 1900's, you had a long list of restrictions on what you were allowed to do, but you could paint porcelain or pottery. In 1912 someone with the initials of M.H.B. painted a simple outdoor pattern on this 1 3/4" wide 1/2" high open salt. This has a gold painted rim, is white inside and the top edges have been crimped to create an octagonal shape. Add this to an open salt collection for a one-of-a-kind pattern, or place it on a shelf for a reminder of how much society has changed in last 100 years. I have some other open salts listed here, and will combine orders for discount and shipping savings. Please email me with any questions you may have, and thank-you for shopping here at Something Wonderful.
