The delicate pattern of garlands of pink and blue roses on this oval serving platter is entitled "Marie," by Theodore Haviland of Limoges, France. The platter is 14" across the two handles, 10" wide and would be nice for serving sliced meats. The handles have gold highlights on them. This is one of the antique productions by Theodore Haviland, who was the second generation to produce fine porcelain. His father began in Limoges France after discovering the quality of the fine kaolin available there. Theodore was the one who then built the largest factory of its kind in 1890; this pattern was produced 1905-15. I have a few other pieces in this pattern listed here, and will combine orders for discount and shipping savings.
