This fascinating cup has applied dragons; a thin layer of clay is used to create the creature, then it is painted. This is a form of moriage (clay on pottery) pottery made since the late 19th century. The delicacy and intricacy are inspiring; the inside of the cup is bright lustre ware, and the entire result is a cup much too beautiful to use for drinking in anything other than its own beauty. The cup is 2" high, 4 1/2" across cup and handle; the saucer is 5 1/2" across. I have two of these, that would make a nice pair for a display cabinet. I will combine orders for discount and shipping savings. Please email me with any questions you may have, and thank-you for shopping here at Something Wonderful.
