This Menu measure approx. 6 1/4" by 4 1/2" and feature a color picture of El Capitan. It is for August 5, 1943. They are in good overall condition with darkening of the white edges from age. On June 25, 1943 the Ahwahnee hotel was commissioned by the U.S. Navy as the "U.S. Navy Convalescent Hospital Yosemite National Parks California", to be a convalescent hospital for the war wounded, run until 1945. The hotel was turned into a full recovery hospital. It is rumored that high level German prisoners of war were kept here at that time. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
