This fascinating spoon is from the 1915 San Francisco Exposition. On the front of the spoon is the symbol for California with "Eureka", at the top, a building that may be the state capitol, a redwood tree, "California" and in the well of the spoon, "San Francisco Exposition, a rendition of the tower of jewels (a feature for the exposition) and "Tower of Jewels." On the back of the spoon is the (then)cliff house, Carmel Mission, Sutter's Mill and "plate" (from silverplate). This is in remarkably good condition for a spoon 105 years old; it must have been in someone's collection. I will combine orders for discount and shipping savings.
