This shining casserole dish is silver plate with an ornate handle on the lid. Made by the English Silver Mfg. Co in the US, this versatile bowl has a pyrex insert that can be heated in the oven after leaving the refrigerator. The bowl with lid is 6 1/2" high, 9 1/2" across the two extending handles and 4 1/2" across the base. The lid fits the pyrex insert and is meant to be used with the bowl inside the silver plate.
