This 9 7/8" wide Christmas decorator plate is metal, unbreakable. On the bottom of the royal blue rim is "Merry Christmas 1975", and the scene is Santa driving his sleigh across a bridge over a frozen stream in the country. This is by Queen D. Franklin who began her painting in American Primitive Art before Grandma Moses, and has been compared to her. Grandma Franklin was born in 1881 and relied on her early days and memories of West Virginia for ideas. She was self taught and an observer of nature. If you are fond of this art form, or are already a fan of hers, add this holiday plate to your collection. I will combine orders for discount and shipping savings.
