Produced in 1954, this flying Mallard duck television lamp and planter by the California manufacturer Lane and Co. came out when TV viewers were advised to have some subdued lighting on or near the TV to protect their eyesight. This lamp is 14 1/2" high, 14" wide, with space for a small plant or silk ivy to trail from the planter area. The Mallard is bright colors, a delight to place in a den or man-cave, and perhaps the hunter would prefer to fill the planter with snacks! When these lamps first came out, most of them were a dime store purchase, obtained for as little as $1.50; these have now become enjoyable collectibles for people who appreciate the bright colors, innovative designs and memories of when we all had one! I will combine orders for discount and shipping savings, and have other lamps listed here. Please email me with any questions you may have, and thank-you for shopping here at Something Wonderful.
