This large 9 1/2' high x 6 1/2' wide banner is one of a kind, hand created and stitched with quilted patterns to illustrate the journey of immigrants from Holland. This hung on the wall of the East Bay Holland club, formed by and for people who moved to the Bay area of California from Holland. The scenes sewn on to the banner depict typical items from Holland, a windmill, tulips, a man in traditional clothing and wooden shoes, then a steamship by which the travelers made their way to the U.S. and the golden gate bridge under which they sailed. This banner will fill a wall and be a great tribute to Dutch ancestry or all immigrants. There are a couple very small (moth) holes, and the banner needs to be gently washed or cleaned. This is an historical and unique item, worthy of honoring. I have other pictures; please email me with any questions you may have.
