This unique money holder is a 2 3/4" x 2 3/8" metal compact with "Petty Cash" written in gold script on the top. The compact opens to reveal a place to keep folded bills which then lifts to open up a spot to place 5 assorted coins. This comes in a soft felt bag, and has never been used. On the back of the compact is a sticker from Kauffman's on 5th Ave. in Pittsburgh. Kauffman's was a local department store that originated in Pittsburgh, PA in 1871. The flagship store was the one on 5th ave. Kauffman's became a regional chain with up to 59 stores in 5 states, and was acquired by the May Co. in 1946, and then went through a series of sales before losing the original name. The perfect place for this vintage cash holder would be a vintage purse; I have several listed here and will combine orders for discount and shipping savings. Please email me with any questions you may have, and thank-you for shopping here at Something Wonderful.
