BEAUTIFUL! The uchikake is a formal kimono worn by a bride or at a stage performance. This silk bridal uchikake goes from the neck to the floor, uchikakes are supposed to trail along the floor. This one is heavenly embroidered with tons of gold thread. Rickshaws and the road are in gold and evergreen trees in vibrant green, copper, and gold thread. There is overlay as well as embroidery. The lining of the uchikake is red silk as is the hem roll. There is a small smudge in the back on the neckline, where the plastic bag pulled away from the hanger. I think it can be spotted and will be fine.
This kimono measures approx. 75" tall/long and 25" across the shoulders (seam to seam) Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for shopping with us at Something Wonderful.
