This classic duette brooch-fur clips is 2 1/8" wide, 5/8" high. This is from Coro, one of the first companies to patent this innovative piece of jewelry that is a brooch when attached to the backing, and becomes two fur clips when separated. The patents on this piece indicate that it is from 1932-1933. The duette style was popular from the 1930's until the early 1950's. This brooch has all its rhinestones, with a couple of them fading a bit. In the center of each fur clip area is a prong mounted cabochon cut black stone that appears to be an onyx. I have a variety of these captivating combination brooches, and will combine orders for discount and shipping savings.
