This circa 1920 exquisite Bracelet is Shakudo. This was originally used for Samurai Sword fitments. Shakudo is an alloy of cooper with a small quantity of Gold, pickled in a solution to produce a blue black color, or iron, exquisitely inlaid with silver. Supreme masters of metal work produced these items. This piece measures approx. 7 1/4" long un-clasped. There are 10 links to this piece. Each panel measures approx. 1" tall. It is marked on the back with Silver 950. Each panel has a different design on the front. The safety chain has been removed from one side for display purposes and can be easily re-attached.
