This circa 1920 exquisite Bracelet is Shakudo. This was originally used for Samurai Sword fitments. Shakudo is an alloy of copper with a small quantity of Gold, pickled in a solution to produce a blue black color, or iron, exquisitely inlaid with silver and gold. Supreme masters of metal work produced these items. This piece measures approx. 7 1/4" long un-clasped. There are 11 links to this piece. Each panel measures approx. 1/2" tall. It is marked on the back with a diamond shape with a "M" in the center. Each panel has a different design on the front and back. The panels on the back are gold with a different etched item on each panel. The end of the clasp needs to be replaced. The safety chain has been removed from one side for display purposes and can be easily re-attached. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for shopping. Layaway is available.
