These 7" high tankards belong in every patriot's home. The pictures on the steins are Paul Revere's ride, the liberty bell, and a colonial militia man. The tankards are made of a chocolate colored slag glass. Slag glass is a collector's name for opaque pressed glass with colored streaks. The name derives from the belief that these colors were achieved by adding "slag" from the iron smelting works to the glass. This date back to the 1890'a in England and is quite popular today with decorators. Please email me with any questions you may have, and thank-you for shopping here at Something Wonderful.
