This enchanting book will delight adults as much as children; it was first published in 1933, this copy is the sixth printing, 1967. The 7" x 8 1/2" 134 page book illustrates different types of travel in the United States, including covered wagons, steam trains, steam boats and balloons. The little stories and illustrations are delightful and charming; this is a pleasurable book to add to a collection of children's vintage books. This was published by Macmillan & Co., by Alice Dalgliesh, illustrated by Hildegard Woodward. There is a stamp "Sitka Seventh-Day Adventist Church School" on front and back covers and the title page; the rest of the book is clean and in great shape. I have a variety of children's books listed here, and will combine orders for discount and shipping savings. Please email me with any questions you may have, and thank-you for shopping here at Something Wonderful.
