This 9 1/4" x 10" book is a unique collection of stories and "turning" pictures. First published in the late 1890's by Ernest Nistor of London, this book is a 1992 reprint that has the round picture with a small ribbon handle that can be turned to uncover a different picture on the same subject. There are 5 of the actual turning pictures, with stories in between. Page 3 has been repaired with tape across the face of the lion (probably an exuberant child turning). There is an inscription written on the title page for a 2 year old birthday. This is very unusual and an enjoyable glimpse into an age before our current "moving" pictures. Young and young at heart alike will enjoy this book. I have other fascinating books listed here, and will combine orders for shipping savings.
