COMMENTS: This is a wonderful hand made sterling silver polished KING'S MANASSA Turquoise ring. It is an outstanding example of quality handmade Native American jewelry. Features a bezel set KING'S MANASSA turquoise with a natural inclusion. Beautiful decorative hand stamped shank. This ring measures 7/8" knuckle to knuckle "N-S". There is a warm age patina developed. We will polish upon shipping if you like. With all the legend and myth surrounding turquoise, it has come to symbolize many things in modern life. Many ancient cultures held beliefs about Turquoise. In Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and Tibet Turquoise represents purity. Because of its color, it is an ancient symbol of the sky. The Manassa Turquoise mine was originally called the Lickskillet Mine. It was one of the first Turquoise deposits found in Colorado and the Southwest as well. The Manassa mine is believed to first have been mine by the Anasazi Indians.
