A stunning Miriam Haskell graduated single strand opera length necklace of quality silvery faux baroque pearls. The slightly oval pearls measure 7mm x 8mm and graduate to 6mm x 5mm and alternate with small faceted Russian gold metal spacer beads. The secure sliding clasp is marked Miriam Haskell on one side and patent 3427691 on the other side. There is also a hang tag marked Miriam Haskell. In very fine ready to wear condition, no signs of verdigris or pearl peeling, the Russian metal spacer beads have a nice aged patina.

Miriam Haskell was an American designer of costume jewelry. With creative partner Frank Hess, she designed affordable pieces from 1920 through the 1960s. Her vintage items are eagerly collected and her namesake company continues.
