This fine sterling silver tea service was crafted in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany, by the silversmith Gottlieb Kurz around 1930. This set includes the tea pot, creamer and sugar for a total of three pieces. The tea pot with hinged lid stands 8" high and 8-1/2'' from tip of spout to handle. The creamer stands 3-1/4'' high and 4-1/2'' from tip of spout to handle and the covered sugar with lid stands 3-3/4" high and 4-3/4'' from handle to handle. In exceptional unused condition with just one tiny shallow ding ( dimple) to lower side of teapot and the heat separators on the teapot have darkened.
Signed/Inscribed: The hallmarks struck to the underside includes: Maker's mark: Icon for Gottlieb Kurz. Silver quality/purity mark: 925 (925/1000, sterling). National mark: Crescent moon and crown. The hallmarks struck to the undersides are all very clear.
