Ninth plate ambrotype photograph of a formally-dressed gentleman in 3/4 pose. He is very handsome with tinted cheek, long wavy hair, mustache and beard. The ambrotype is housed in a black leather embossed velvet lined case which is in very good condition with brass clasp closure. The parts are all intact and include the photo itself, a black metal plate, a brass mat, a preserver also called a frame and the case. The image is sharp and clean with minimal surface wear.
