Here is a Victorian bridal basket made of white milk glass. The inside is hand painted with a turquoise background and two courtship scenes. One of the scenes is signed Boucher in script. The scenes are surrounded with pink and salmon colored flowers with some gold trim. The rim appears to be molded into tabs and there is spaced hobnails that run along the inside edge of the rim. The two scenes appear to be all intact with no paint loss. The hobnails, though, appear to have one had gold trim but the trim has worn off. There is also some wear on the gold leaves and stems below one of the scenes. The metal basket holder is sweet with two small molded flowers with a tied bow beneath them. There are no chips or cracks or repairs. It stands approx 10 1/2" tall and is twelve " wide.
