An unusually large Victorian mourning brooch/pendant of tested 14K yellow gold worked in a lovely floral motif in black enamel, and set with rose-cut diamonds and natural pearls. A scrolled border surrounds the centerpiece. The locket back encloses multi-colored hair and natural seed pearls. English or American and circa 1860-1870, it measures two and one-fourth of an inch by two and three-eighths of an inch.
