Miriam Haskell white milk glass and shell /MOP necklace with a beaded clasp. In the 1940's, when her usual jewelry making supply sources were interrupted by WWII, Miriam Haskell turned to other components for her creations, often incorporating natural materials, such as shells and mother of pearl. This is one of the pieces created during that period. It incorporates white milk glass rectangles, pieces of different color shell/mother of pearl, and small metallic shells.

The necklace is 29 and 1/2 inches long, and it weighs 63.4 grams.

Signed "Miriam Haskell" on the back of the beaded clasp.

Very good condition with some wear to the finish on the metallic shells, and on the back of the clasp. I have not attempted to clean or polish them.
