This is a limited edition bronze made for the Lewiston Library Foundation.

Strickland Garland’s poem: Richer than I you can never be—I had a mother who read to me

The Lewiston Library Foundation is offering smaller (7.5” X 10”) limited edition maquettes of Sharon Taylor Hall’s The Reading Mother. Around the base of each are the last two lines of Strickland Garland’s poem: Richer than I you can never be—I had a mother who read to me. These sculptures, in bronze with a black walnut base on a turntable, sell for $1,700 each with all proceeds going to the library roof garden fund. This is a great gift for your mother or any reading mother. There are only 11 left, after which the foundry breaks the mold!
