A finely bronze gilded rooster sculpture, signed, Emile Laporte (1858-1907) was a French artist known for his bronze sculptures, mounted on a rotating marble base, circa late 19th-early 20th century.
Born in Paris Laporte studied under Dumont and made his debut at the Salon in 1881 and exhibited there regularly until 1906.
