This wonderful artisan-made piano stool has been part of my collection for decades. However, my doll kept falling off it, so I finally compromised and have found her an armchair that fits under the piano in the doll parlor. This is a working model and screws both up and down to adjust the seat height. It is made of hardwood and shows the normal wear an antique piece of toy furniture would have, but a little Pledge, and it polishes up beautifully. The legs and stretchers are both machine-turned and hand-carved. Screwed all the way down, the stool measures 6" tall and raised to the maximum height would make it about 7 1/2" tall. across the seat, it measure 4 1/2" and the widest point between the legs measures 4 3/4". It is made of hardwood and there are a few wormholes, but ONLY on the underside of the base. Those little woodworms left eons ago!
