My little S&H Chinese doll was made for the Paris Worlds Fair of 1889. Dolls of all nations were featured at the fair and were wildly popular with child visitors. Sue Lynn measures 7 1/2" tall, but a much larger doll would comfortably fit in the rickshaw that just came out of a French attic where it was stored in a lidded box and it is in pristine, antique toy condition. The rickshaw is made of hand-woven reeds and wood and tiny iron nails. The wheels really turn and the sunshade can be tipped into every position your doll could ever want. The rickshaw measures 17" long with the sunshade lowered all the way to the back. With the sunshade up, it measures 13 1/2" long. With the sunshade up at the highest position, it measures 13" tall The seat measures 3 3/4" on its surface where you doll's derriere would sit. It measures 3 1/2" from the front edge to the back. The back of the seat measures 4 1/4" tall from the surface of the seat From the seat surface to the wooden floor for dolly's feet, it measures 3" from front to back. If your Asian doll is fully jointed, a doll of about 12" tall should fit comfortable in the rickshaw with the sunshade fully up. With the sunshade lowered, a even larger doll would fit it just fine. I have seen these toy rickshaws in catalogs, but never one in person! It is the PERFECT accessory for your Asian doll!
