My grandsons in FRANCE have sent a wonderful lot of ephemera! Ephemera are antique items of paper and cardboard that were never intended to survive the ages, but have! This darling set of antique coloring book postcards dates from circa 1910-1915 and includes eight postcards printed on normal postcard stock with the colored examples of how the postcards should be colored by a child,. On the back of the booklet is a table that teaches children which primary colors blended together will result in which secondary colors (see photo #2). The selection of postcards appeals to both boys and girls. The set has been completely colored by a long-ago French child with colored pencils, and it is complete and in excellent condition for ephemera. The book measures 6" long and 3 1/2" from top to bottom and was printed in PARIS. The booklet is entitled I PAINT MY MAIL in French, and it is complete as the number of postcards on the cover states that 8 postcards to color are contained in the little book. What a darling item to display with your French bebe with a colored pencil in her little hand! It will be shipped between two pieces of lightweight cardboard to protect it in the mail.
