This is an American made "Adjusco", adjustable, industrial lamp from the 1920's - 30's. It is meant to be mounted on a vertical surface or by changing the orientation of the bolt that attaches the arm to the base, on a horizontal surface by means of 3 screws. It adjusts the position of the arm by moving one or more of the disk joints until the desired angle of the light is achieved. It has it's original brass shade with dark patina, original turn-key socket and industrial plug. I have chosen to keep the lamp in the cosmetic condition that I found it, with remnants of its original green paint and naturally patinaed metal and have given it 2 coats of wax It has been rewired with high quality black, cloth covered twisted wire which enhances it's vintage look. It measures a maximum length of 22.5" when extended and the shade is 6.5" in diameter.
This would be a great lamp to focus attention on a collection of items or for a bedside lamp.
