A beautiful antique Limoges porcelain Rococo Revival lidded porcelain loose powder, trinket or jewelry box. Snow white porcelain hand painted with cobalt blue and gilt. Dates to the late 1800s, the piece is of French origin.
The round box is shaped with softly swirled, scalloped sides and has delicate raised surface flower petals. Gilt work is heavy. It is not marked.
Measures: 3-1/4" across and sits 2-1/4" high.
Excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repair. There are two areas of the white porcelain on the body of the box that are a very faint whisper pink which I tried to capture in my photos but difficult to catch.
