A large stunning art deco styled brooch depicting an elaborate feather by Kenneth Lane. One of his more difficult to find pieces as it is from the late 1970's to early 1980's and features dazzling clear crystal rhinestones. Most of the production pieces after the 80's used colored stones. My pictures do not capture the beauty of this show stopper.
Back signed on oval cartouche, “KJL”. Second mark is “NR”.
The brooch is 3-1/4 inches long x 2 inches wide.
It is in pristine condition. All stones are brilliant. Clasp works perfectly. No sign of wear. (The second ‘NR’ mark does not denote designer initials as often attributed, but rather was an internal company manufacturing code reference.)
Beautifully designed and of the finest craftsmanship.
“Elegance, luxury and good taste never go out of style”, Kenneth Jay Lane. As Lane himself says, “Glamour is all year round.”
