These very cool vintage lime green marbled lucite earrings are signed, VOGUE JLRY, which is an earlier signature of this wonderful designer. The domes are a delectable lime marbled with swirls and streaks of darker greens.
The clip-on backs are gold tone and work perfectly. Measure approx. one inch across. Circa 1950's. Excellent Condition.
The trademark Vogue was first used by Park Importing Co., founded in NYC about 1915. The firm specialized in simulated pearls and beaded jewelry. Vogue jewelry that is collectible today was manufactured from 1936 to the early 1970's by Harold Shapiro and two partners. Vogue jewelry is relatively scarce in the collectible market.
