The base is acid etched, “WATERFORD”, with the Seahorse logo.

Hand blown of full lead crystal for superb clarity and brilliance. The workmanship is of artistic quality. The glass is heavily weighted as expected from hand-crafted, fine lead crystal. Weighs just over shy of nineteen ounces. The depth of this cut contributes to its unique brilliance.

HISTORIQUE: Waterford was established in 1783 in the heart of the Irish harbor town of Waterford, just minutes from the present day House of Waterford Crystal. Founded by brothers William and George Penrose with a vision to create the finest quality crystal. More than two hundred years later, the reputation they established for creating glass of unsurpassed beauty and quality has transcended the intervening centuries.

Millennium Series: Waterford designed a series of items to commemorate the Millennium in 2000. The collection was started in 1995. Each year a collection of pieces dedicated to one of the universal toasts was made available. The first was Happiness, engraved with a bow, the next Love, with a heart, then Health with a sunburst, Prosperity with a wheat sheaf and Peace with a dove.

In a landmark Waterford ceremony in mid-December, 2001, a sledgehammer was used to destroy the mold from Waterford's popular Millennium Collection. It was the first (perhaps only?) time a Waterford crystal mold has been broken.
