A rare and exceptional pressed glass Daisy and Button console set or table centerpiece in brilliant clear glass. The huge center dish or vase and candle holders are the beloved top hat shape design. Daisy & Button is the pattern name for daisy style flowers surrounded by smooth buttons.

This is the largest Daisy and Button top hat made in the U.S. The candle holders have walled candle wells at the center of their interior bases. Unmarked. Dates to the late 1930s or earlier.

*Center piece measures about 6 inches tall x 7 /8 inches across at widest point of the brim. Body is 5-3/4 inches across at widest girth and the top mouth is 5 inches across.
*The candle holders sit 2-1/2 inches high x 3-1/2 inches across brim. Candle wells at interior base are for standard 1 inch tapers.
* The set is heavy, weighing more than 4 pounds prior to packing.

All pieces are in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, micro bites or clouding.

A very rare and wonderful American art glass treasure. Perfect display piece for flowers or on a buffet table holding silverware or napkins.

HISTORIQUE: Daisy and Button (DB) is one of the most popular patterns in pressed glass ever made. The basic pattern is made up of eight-sided buttons which surround geometrically stylized flowers.

The pattern was so popular that some variation of DB was made by almost every major Victorian era American glass company.

Makers include Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. (their version of DB was named simply "Pattern 101"), LG Wright, Fenton, and probably a few others.
