A pair of beautiful Waterford cut crystal liquor cocktail glass in the ‘Eileen’ pattern, a statement of simple sophistication. Featuring cut vertical lines, representing the striking architecture of the turrets seen in Ireland's many beautiful castles.
The exceptional lead crystal blown and hand cut glasses are stunning with their flared bowl and deeply cut pattern. The stem leads down to flare cut foot.
Hand blown of full lead crystal for superb clarity and brilliance. Crafted in Ireland. Each is acid etched with the Waterford name and logo. One has remnant of foil sticker. Date to the 1960s.
The workmanship is of artistic quality. The glasses are heavily weighted as expected from hand-crafted, fine lead crystal. Each weighs eight ounces. The depth of this cut contributes to its unique brilliance.
Stand 4 1/4 inches high by 3-1/2 across the top.
The pair is in excellent to mint condition – no nicks, dings, chips, scratches or repairs.
The name Waterford is synonymous with the finest crystal in the world.
I am selling the two as a pair.
HISTORIQUE: Waterford was established in 1783 in the heart of the Irish harbor town of Waterford, just minutes from the present day House of Waterford Crystal. Founded by brothers William and George Penrose with a vision to create the finest quality crystal. More than two hundred years later, the reputation they established for creating glass of unsurpassed beauty and quality has transcended the intervening centuries.
