Fenton Cranberry Opalescent Coin Dot Ruffled Vase
This beautiful cranberry opalescent Coin Dot vase was made by Fenton between 1947 and 1964. It is a wonderful squat bodied shape with a heavily crimped and ruffled top. The dots are a rich cranberry color and the area between the dots is opalescent. It is cranberry lined.
The vase stands 3 1/2 inches high, is 4 1/2 inches across the top and has a 2 1/4 inch base. It is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, cloudiness or other issues. It bears no logos or marks.
Cranberry Opalescent Coin Dot was introduced into the Fenton line in 1947. Opalescent cranberry, was the best selling color in Coin Dot and remained in the line for almost two decades. The original issue of Cranberry Coin Dot in Cranberry was discontinued at the end of 1964. Cranberry Opalescent Coin Dot was produced by casing a layer of Gold Ruby glass with a layer of French Opalescent.
