Christian Dior E'Charpes Silk Scarf
A stunning Christian Dior silk scarf by French designer, Christian Dior. The design is a classic marriage of paisley, big bold peonies and abbreviated hounds tooth. The colors are deep and rich – greens, royal purple and black with touches of white and saffron.
Vintage late 1980's, the scarf is signed, "CHRISTIAN DIOR". The stitched in tag reads, "Christian Dior E'CHARPES" and on reverse side, "100% SILK MADE IN KOREA".
Measures 31 inches square.
Condition is excellent to Mint.

HISTORY: Christian Dior opened his own couture house in Paris in 1946 and introduced his first collection in 1947. The fashion world was smitten by the French designer and he changed the face of couture fashion. After Dior's death in 1957, Yves Saint Laurent, who has been a design assistant to Dior, was named chief designer.
