The scarf was created by Tiffany exclusively for the Susan G. Komen Foundation (Tiffany is a major corporate sponsor), in partnership with the Race for the Cure and Tiffany Fragrance. It was inspired by the memory of a young woman who worked in the Fragrance Division of Tiffany & Co.

A big, elegant scarf and a wonderful rare find.

Komen sponsored New York City race for breast cancer survivors. The pink ribbon was adopted as the official symbol of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month the next year, in 1992.
