HISTORIQUE: Vernon collectors' plate designs were made from the Arkansas traveler plate of 1936 until the firm was purchased by Metlox in 1958. A huge variety of attractions, celebrities, events and localities were commemorated and the plates are highly collectable today.
Regional themes dominated, as tourist shops and department stores ordered special lines for local attractions and events. Back stamps often credit the store that ordered (and often designed) the plate motif.
The firm did not chronicle special orders.
Button Jewelers was established in 1945, Wenatchee, WA.
