The pale yellow and white layers combine for a captivating effect in this attractive chest of four drawers with brass pulls. While the painted finish is new it compliments the age, style and graceful lines of this chest that dates back to the early 1800's. The layered painted finish has been distressed, creating aged character while revealing the natural oak wood below. The scalloped edge of the top is carried down through the 4 drawer fronts and bottom molding resulting in an elegant, serpentine case. A strong and elegant style made entirely of oak which has been restored. All wear, age related cracks or separation (including drawer bottoms) is commensurate with age.
