Pearl China Co. 1940s Teapot Sugar and Creamer Aqua with 22K Gold Trim
Terrific teapot set from Pearl China Co. that includes teapot with lid, sugar and creamer. Expressive mid-century modern design that flares out expansively and back in at the bottom with a beautiful aqua or robin’s egg blue color and very heavy 22K gold trim. All three pieces have an embossed swirl on the sides. The bottom of the teapot is stamped guaranteed 22 K gold U.S.A. in a circle. It measures 6” tall by 10 ½” from tip of spout to end of handle.
The set was produced in the 1940s. It came from the Pearl China Co that was formed in 1931 as a pottery outlet in Ohio. There is some research that speculates the forms were made by Homer Laughlin and decorated and then distributed by Pearl China.
In excellent condition with no flaws I can find.
