Tiny Tucks Ribbons and Lace Mexican Wedding Dress Vintage 1960's
Here's a charming white and cream cotton Mexican wedding dress, circa 1960 to 1970. The dress is beautifully made and the work is a combination of fine vertical tucking and horizontal lace with satin ribbons and hand embroidery. It has a lace trimmed neckline, bell sleeves with lace edging and hem with deep lace finish. closes with a zipper up the back. It has no size label, but it is quite small, its measurements are as follows: Please rely on these measurements for sizing. You should be smaller than the measurements as the dress is not meant to fit too tightly. I think it's perfect Tween size or young Junior.
Sleeve length: 13"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam 16" across front
Hips: approx 50" (full skirt)
Overall length: 46"
In excellent condition. No obvious flaws I can find. Clean and ready to wear. Very nice example of a true boho Hippie Chic wedding ethnic look dress. Cute for a prom or graduation. These were popular in the Washington DC area where I found it, sold at the Phoenix in Georgetown back in the day. Still gorgeous now!
