A wonderful mulberry transferware Crown Ducal George Washington 1732 – 1932 Bicentenary Memorial plate with an elaborate floral motif and central image of the birthplace of George Washington at Wakefield Va (Virginia). The shape of this piece is a two corner square plate and is approximately 8.25 inches square at the widest point and in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. The back is stamped in mulberry and reads George Washington Bicentenary Memorial Plates 1732 – 1932 First in War First in Peace First in the hearts of his countrymen Crown Ducal England and the number 5. This is a truly great piece of transferware, a memorial plate for the 200th birthday of the founding father of our country and the mulberry color is extra special.
I am listing two other matching plates of Cornwallis Surrender and George Washington and his Mother separately. Happy to combine to save shipping.
