Universal Red Black Wheat 2 Quart Round Covered Casserole
Vintage covered 2 quart casserole made by Universal Pottery Cambridge Ohio in the 1940's for Sears.
This pattern is similar to the the cat-tail or cattail pattern done on the clamwood shape featuring red ears of wheat grains instead of the cattails and trim with black leaves or foliage.
Measures 8 & 1/4 inches in interior diameter, 9 1/2" with the tab handles and 4 & 1/4 inches high.
Both top and bottom are in very good to excellent condition, with no cracks, chips or repairs, paint is strong, slight crazing on interior.
Handsome piece for your retro kitchen to display, or use for baking and cooking, oven to table. Still stylish and functional after all these years.
