Huge Bunch of 1930’s Fabrics and More Cuts for Quilt Blocks in Vintage Xmas Box
Here’s an amazing group of shape cuts ready to finish into quilt blocks. And stored for years in an amazing box.
The fabrics are all vintage, mostly cotton in a wide variety of typical colorful 1930s prints with some solids, a few in light flannel and sateen.
There are three shapes to make the pattern. 128 large 7” by 5” curved bow shapes, 51 diamond shaped six sided with straight tops 7 ¼” by 5 ½” and 19 truncated triangles 4” by 6”. I do not know the name of the pattern intended. There are also one cardboard and one paper pattern for the bow shape.
All in excellent condition. They were made by my friend’s Mom in Alabama.
They were stored in a fabulous cardboard box with really retro Christmas Shopping Graphics with a pencil notation of who it was to be made for in the family. Granny didn’t finish it, but you can.
Great vintage sewing project for you or your quilter’s group. All you need is your sewing skills and knowledge to make the blocks, sashing, batting and a backing to make a lovely quilt or comfort.
