1930’s Fabrics Butterfly Cuts to Applique on Quilt Blocks Set
Here’s a great set of butterfly wings shape cuts ready to finish into quilt blocks by appliqueing and embroidery.
The fabrics are all vintage cotton in a wide variety of typical 1930s prints.
There are 17 matching pairs of patterns shown in photos overlapping. large 8 1/4” by 4 1/4”. There are two more unmatched pieces and a paper pattern seen in upper left of pic. There is one that has been finished as a quilt block to make the pattern. Last pic shows how the pairs overlap to make the pattern. All in excellent condition. They were made by my friend’s Mom in Alabama.
I have just discovered these in another box with the rest of the cuts to complete the quilt which I have already listed.
Great vintage sewing project for you or your quilter’s group. All you need is solid color cotton and black embroidery floss to make the blocks. sashing, batting and a backing to make a lovely quilt or comfort or pillows. Happy to combine to save on shipping.
